The Guildford Local Plan, including our site at Gosden Hill, has been found legally compliant. Further to the additional hearing sessions that took place in February, The Plan has been judged sound by the Planning Inspector, subject to modifications.
Our site lies to the north east of the town and the allocation follows years of hard work to promote it through the local plan. It has an allocation for up to 1,800 homes, a primary school and secondary school, local shops and a railway station. We are delighted with the results of these promotions to date, but there is still some way to go in terms of both the Local Plan process and preparation of an Outline Planning Application. Detailed pre-app discussions with the Council are of course ongoing.
