Launch of two new show homes at Kingsfield Park creates new benchmark for luxury.
Martin Grant Homes is launching two stunning new show homes at “The Collection” – the most recent phase of two, three, four and five bedroom family homes at its Kingsfield Park development, part of the new Berryfields community in Aylesbury. The interiors’ design quality reflects Kingsfield Park’s standing as one of the area’s most exclusive and highly regarded new developments.
The show homes have been created by Phoenix Interiors to exude luxury whilst simultaneously catering for the needs of young families.
The three-bedroom show home is designed with first or second time buyers in mind. The design is inspired by the work of Jim Thompson, an American designer who contributed significantly to the regeneration of the Thai silk industry. As a result, the interiors evoke the opulence of traditional Eastern design, creating reception rooms ideal for entertaining and relaxation. The master bedroom is decorated to create a sense of the luxurious, with a Chanel inspired lamp base contributing to the sophistication of the room. The third bedroom has been designed with a teenage boy in mind and the repetition of engineering motifs creates a feeling of fun and creativity.
The four-bedroom show home has been created to appeal to larger families and there is an emphasis on the separation of formal and informal living spaces. The kitchen, conceived as the heart of the family home, is decorated with recipe wallpaper, supplied by Mr Perswall, a personalised wallpaper manufacturer. In contrast, the living room is designed to act as a more formal space, ideal for entertaining. The master bedroom has the look of a boutique hotel, with the Alexander McQueen inspired cushions contributing to the level of luxury one would expect from a five star hotel. The tent bed in the room designed for a child has been sourced from Parisian designer Mathy by Bols and injects a sense of fun and adventure.
The show homes include furniture by India Jane, MFUK, Blue Suntree and Jan Cavelle, lighting by Heathfield, soft furnishings by Northcroft and carpets by Ligne Pure.
Berryfields will soon have its own community centre with independent shops, to cater for everyday needs. A business park is planned to provide commercial units for new and established companies, which will bring with them a range of work opportunities for those living in Kingsfield Park. A new primary school and a state-of-the-art secondary school have been built, as well as a new sports centre. Residents at Kingsfield Park are served by Aylesbury Vale Parkway station, which opened in 2008, where up to three trains an hour run direct to London Marylebone in 1 hour and 8 minutes. There are bus links to Aylesbury town centre and it also sits just off the A41 north of Aylesbury, with access to major motorways including the M40, M1 and M25 and Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton airports are all within easy reach.
Susan White, from Phoenix Interiors, says: “Our brief was to create homes which represent the epitome of style and elegance whilst retaining the practical elements required by a busy family home. The neutral palette is designed to appeal to a wide range of buyers, who will appreciate the flexibility of such a style. We have also included statement pieces of furniture and artwork to ensure that the homes retain a sense of character and warmth”.
Chris Hamilton, Managing Director of Martin Grant Homes says: “Our years of experience have shown us that our buyers are looking for homes which include both stylish entertainment and relaxation spaces and bright, clutter-free rooms perfect for family living. Phoenix Interiors has succeeded in matching our brief; that these homes should complement their rural situation by being light and airy, whilst simultaneously representing the latest interior design trends. We expect the launch of these show homes to trigger a peak in reservations at ‘The Collection’.”
