Inspired by local early Georgian architecture and set within a private, gated enclave, our development offers a desirable combination of privacy and tranquillity – echoing the exclusivity of the wider Oxshott area, including the star-studded Crown Estate.
The show home offers a bespoke classic contemporary scheme by Andrew Henry Interiors, and aims to inspire customers to visualise themselves making a home in this much sought-after part of the Surrey Hills.
“A considerable amount of thought and attention to detail has gone into the layout and specification of the homes by Martin Grant,” says Andrew Henry. “To complete the look, I have used a classic contemporary scheme with softer country influences, making use of predominantly neutral tones along with some accents of slate blue and rust.”
The properties benefit from a spacious open-plan family room, with bi-fold doors opening out to a patio and turfed rear garden, alongside a more formal living room at the front. “For the lounge we added an elegant focal point to the room by creating a bespoke wooden media unit, painted to match the skirtings,” says Andrew. “As well as holding a 50-inch plasma TV it has shelving for books and objet d’art, plus practical storage cupboards beneath.” The result is so successful that it will be made available as an extra for buyers of the other homes – along with other elements of the show home such as window treatments and soft furnishings.
One of the most striking aspects of the homes at Archers Mews is the extensive first floor terrace, offering more than 20 square metres of alfresco living. Leading from the master bedroom, which also benefits from an ensuite bath and shower room and a walk-in dressing room, the balcony offers ample space for sun loungers or outdoor dining furniture. Best of all, as the properties back on to unspoilt woodland, the terrace is not overlooked. “It provides a generous relaxation space at an elevated level,” explains Andrew.
The neutral palette and subtle styling of the homes reflects the fact that rooms could be used in different ways – the second floor has two light and airy rooms and a shower room, making them suitable for use as children’s bedrooms or as home office, gym or hobby rooms, depending on the buyer. The first floor also has a second, spacious bedroom with en suite bath and shower which would make the perfect guest suite or a generous study-bedroom for an older teenager. There’s also a convenient first floor laundry room. “Now the rooms are dressed they have come to life, and the amount of space that’s available has become apparent,” says Andrew.
Inside, features such as the frameless glass balustrade to the terrace and the modern handleless kitchen with Silestone worktops and integrated appliances makes for a contemporary, high-specification finish. Added extras such as the underfloor heating on the first and second floors and the superfast broadband, automatic entrance gates and 32-amp car charging point, make these homes a perfect haven in a well-connected area.
